    I'm pretty sure is illegal. My wife was 2 months pregnant when I started my new job and was immediately covered. I think pregnancy is not considered a "preexisting condition".
      But then again, California is more liberal than Texas in those things. It may be different there.

    I always thought I could only deny pre-existing conditions and everything appears as cover. I've never heard of anyone actually said they could not get insurance because she is pregnant. They may be afraid of having to cover any complications because if you do not want to cover pregnant women should be included in a list of things they do not cover.
      See if there is a policy that can look over stating what and who qualifies and who does not.

    I'm not sure what the law in California. Definitely you should contact your local Department of Labor and ask them.

    Need a little more information about it. If you could only enroll during open enrollment then not, they can not. The reason for saying that maybe after the baby that was covered is because most other dental procedures after cleaning are not usually manufactured during pregnancy unless medically necessary.
